A new school year has begun at Dhammajarinee Witthaya School!

We warmly welcomed our new students with a joyful day filled with laughter, dancing, games, and new friendships — celebrating the beginning of their journey as part of the Dhammajarinee family and a sisterhood of more than 1,000 girls. Guided by our senior students, these activities helped create connection, belonging, and support from their very first days on campus.

At Dhammajarinee, we believe education begins with community, kindness, and care. These first shared memories become the foundation for confidence, friendship, and holistic growth throughout the year ahead.

A new school year also means welcoming a new class of students into the practice of meditation — one of the most meaningful parts of education at DWS. Alongside academic learning, our students develop self-awareness, emotional resilience, compassion, and the ability to meet life’s challenges with calmness and understanding.

As one student shared:

“The most important thing I have learned from Dhammajarinee Witthaya School is the practice of meditation. Meditation helps me clearly understand my thoughts and emotions, enabling me to face problems and challenges in life with calmness and stability. It also helps me be more compassionate and understand others better, leading to stronger relationships with both my friends and teachers. Meditation not only improves academic learning, but also supports inner growth, helping me become a person of integrity with true inner happiness.”

We wish all our girls a beautiful year filled with happiness, growth, friendship, inner peace, and empowerment.
