From June 11–12, DWS Director Acharn Yai and Board Member Annarbha Supaneedis had the opportunity to visit Mae Sot at the invitation of Colabora Birmania and learn more about the important work being carried out to support children and young people in the region. It was deeply meaningful to connect with dedicated organizations, community leaders, and educators serving vulnerable children and families.
We appreciated the insightful discussions and exchange of experiences, which deepened our understanding of the challenges faced by local communities. The visit also offered an opportunity to meet organizations and schools connected through Colabora Birmania's network, including Help Without Frontiers, Chicken School, Heavenly Home, Social Action for Children and Women, and Safe Haven.
We are grateful for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to us by Colabora Birmania and its partners. We extend a special thanks to co-founder Meri Viladecàs for her kindness, generosity, and support throughout our visit.
