A professionally implemented banking system has been donated by a Thai national bank to develop practical skills for understanding financial management. The entire system, including accounts and debit cards for all students, is entirely student run. As part of the system, the students are given opportunities to earn and manage small income through diverse sales and services taking place at the school.

A Thai Buddhist foundation, impressed with many years of successful, progressive, and diverse organic agricultural projects at the school, donated the infrastructure and helped develop a training program for Dhammajarinee to become an important organic agriculture learning center for the province. With some guidance, students are making presentations and will help train all those who come to learn.

The school is overflowing in gratitude for the expanded construction that you supported over the last two years. It has truly allowed this many girls to come together at this time. Many, many more will come when the future feels safe.Dhammajarinee continues to meet every legal requirement of hygiene including ongoing medical testing and social distancing.
Overcoming every obstacle during this pandemic, new and returning students arrived from June to early July. Currently there are 1100 students, 100 more than last year.
A new four-storey dormitory is under construction and will be completed by 1 July when the students return. This building will house up to 900 students.
The Coronavirus problem has been very successfully contained in Thailand with only a few infections existing outside of Bangkok. Most of the students safely left the school in March for yearly summer vacation time, just before the lockdown became effective. Some of the girls had nowhere to go so remain on campus and are well taken care of. Most of the girls were able to return to their families or to their distant relatives, shelters, and orphanages from where they originally came. Acharn Yai feels the students benefit from the experience of a different environment and they come back even more excited about the wide range of opportunities at the school. The Thai Government has announced schools to reopen 1st June. In November the large 5500-square-meter Meditation Hall was completed. It was inaugurated on 14 November. This grand Maharishi Vastu building will provide an ideal structure to amplify the positive influence of harmony and coherence radiated by our students. Visitors comment on the power and grandeur of its Vastu design. With 650 Dhammajarinee students already practicing Transcendental Meditation and the Transcendental Meditation Sidhi program including Yogic Flying in this beautiful building, we feel certain that all of Asia will be nourished. |
