We are thrilled to share the inspiring news that on February 11th, Former First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama Foundation, and Girls Opportunity Alliance featured Dhammajarinee Witthaya School and highlighted their support of our STEM program.

You can watch the video on Facebook here and on Instagram here.

The post reads:

“I’m so proud of the work that @GirlsOpportunityAlliance is doing to support girls in #STEM around the world. On this International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we’ll be sharing more about @DhammajarineeWitthayaSchool, a school for girls who are underserved in Thailand that offers free education, safe housing, and three meals a day. With their support, more than 90% of the students attend university.

Support for Dhammajarinee from the Girls Opportunity Alliance has helped the school expand its computer science and STEM programming, while also providing 155 laptops for students. Some of the girls had never touched a computer before, but today they’re learning to code and dreaming of becoming game developers, programmers, and more.

Science has the power to unlock a world of possibilities for girls all over the globe. If you’d like to join us in supporting the important work of Dhammajarinee—and so many more of our Network members—visit the link in my bio today.”

This recognition is deeply meaningful to our entire community. We are profoundly grateful to Former First Lady Michelle Obama, the Obama Foundation, and Girls Opportunity Alliance for making this partnership possible and for investing in the potential of our students.
