We wanted to share the story of an exceptional graduate, Wannisa Boonsaweng — and what happens when you support a DWS student.
Wannisa came to DWS in fifth grade and continued her education through grade 12. Through quality academics and a supportive environment, she was able to attend and then graduate from her dream university, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), one of the most prestigious science and engineering universities in Thailand, often compared to MIT.
Wannisa's degree was a Bachelor of Engineering in Nanomaterial Engineering, an extremely challenging major combining chemistry, physics, and engineering to develop new materials used in electronics, clean energy, medical technology, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing. These areas are in great demand in Thailand, and today, of the 90+% of DWS graduates going to university, more than half choose STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Wannisa shares about her time at DWS:
“Dhammajarinee is like a second home. The teachers and administrators care for and support students, including for further education. We all look after one another like a family, and alumni regularly return to inspire us and offer guidance.”
In addition to her dream of a meaningful career, Wannisa says,
“I hope to return and give back to the place that has given me so many opportunities.”
She also shares a message to school supporters:
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the kind supporters who have continuously given to the school, for me and for all the students. Your support has given me the chance to graduate from university and to prepare for the future of my dreams.”

Wannisa’s success represents what becomes possible when girls are given safety, support, and the freedom to realize futures they didn’t even know were possible. When you support Dhammajarinee Witthaya School, you support more stories like Wannisa's, and transform lives that continue to thrive long after leaving DWS—impacting families and communities throughout Thailand.
