Dhammajarinee never gives up on its mission of providing a safe, healthy, protected, and progressive environment for girls who may have been victims of violence or abuse. Please join us in safeguarding the lives and future of these young girls by making a donation now.

How You Can Help: To continue to grow toward our goal of 1,500 students, two things are needed:

• Funds for the construction of a new dormitory
The construction cost of the new four-story dormitory building is $690,000. Many donations are needed to help make this happen.

• Sponsorship for new students
Each donation of $79 USD per month provides one student with room and board, including three healthy meals a day, a snack, and all utilities.

A generous donor recently designed and renovated an old building to create an on-campus restaurant, Ban Im Boon Jarinee. This new restaurant operated by the school is a growing attraction to locals, visitors, and parents. Guests enjoy international cuisine along with excellent service from the students. Now, anyone who desires to visit the school has an open invitation to eat at the restaurant and take a peak at the campus.

United Nations Report

A United Nations study indicated that the single biggest factor, by far, in reducing the rate of death worldwide among children younger than five is greater education for women.

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) said in its 2016 “State of World Population” report, “Countries cannot end poverty if girls are unable to make a safe and healthy transition from adolescence to adulthood and become productive members of their communities and nations,”

The UNFPA report focused on the world’s 60 million 10-year-old girls, noting that the educational and other opportunities available to pre-adolescent girls and the “flurry of life-changing events” on their horizon will go a long way in determining many developing countries’ prospects.
